Renewable Energy

The Government is clear that renewable energy should be encouraged. Planning policy guidance on renewable energy makes it clear that significant weight should be attached to the need for renewable energy. However, it does not state that the need for renewable energy should be granted such weight that the "need" outweighs all other material considerations.  We can advise on a full range of such projects including windfarms, solar farms and anaerobic digestion plants.

We can assist with:

advice on pre-application matters such as Scoping Reports;

general advice on the planning process in relation to renewable energy projects;

general advice on planning policy relating to renewable energy projects;

the submission of objections to renewable energy projects;

assistance with preparing presentations to Local Authority Planning Committees; and

if required we can guide you through the Planning Appeals system and instruct Counsel if necessary.
